Could it be more Birds?

I have been having a go at a technique, involving pyrography, that was described in my art magazine. I thought it looked interesting and the example demonstrated was a bird that I really liked. I asked for a Dremel versatip for xmas, as dedicated pyrography tools are very expensive. I found some bits of MDF I thought I would have a go with, to see if it could work, and below are the results. I found it awkward to get a good line and wasn’t sure which end I was supposed to use, although I am quite pleased with the results. Having completed these two images I did a search as I couldn’t see how the Dremel was really set up for pyrography. There is a great video by an American guy and it turns out there is a dedicated accessory set, which I now own! He also gives some great hints about its use. I need to try these tips next and then move onto wood as I like the technique and it creates a durable image that does not need framed.
