Liverpool Metropolitan Cathedral and Drawing

I just had a lovely weekend in Liverpool, the city where I went to University. I wandered around old and new places and visited the Metropolitan Cathedral, where I did some drawing.

The cathedral was somewhere I used to go and sit and the inside is truly beautiful. I took my favourite little book and some colours, with a plan to draw one of the beautiful little windows. In fact I went twice and did two! The first time I had been working away for about a quarter of an hour when a mass started nearby. It made it all the more interesting. I did finish these off when I got home, marking in the leading and creating a dark surround.

I am pleased with them, and especially pleased that after what seems a lifetime I have done some more drawing out.
