Stones

This is the start of the second image for my grid. The lovely black and white stones were my souvenirs from this years holiday in Wales. Somehow I can never resist a stone or a shell. A couple of years ago it was seaweed!! Something else I need to do something with.

Anyway stones… I was taken with the black and white patterns, and of course now I am really looking at them they are even more interesting. I thought they would be enhanced with a little bit of colour. A flower stem had dried and broken off one of my succulents and I had kept it as it was so pretty. I think it is just the job, especially as it is quite spindly and twisty, a real contrast to the solidity of the stones.

I am using water soluble graphite pencils and water soluble coloured pencils.
