The bird I have been embroidering for the Macclesfield History Tapestry was finished a couple of weeks ago and submitted. I thoroughly enjoyed the embroidery techniques and am pleased with the final results. I wasn’t sure whether to leave the wings more open but think it works well.

My friend who suggested we contribute has also finished hers and it is a little mill. It is very typical of Macclesfield and I think the use of the same yarns and colours and the same designer for the art work is going to create a successful final piece.
