52Frames Portrait of a Stranger Week 37

The challenge this week is Portrait of a Stranger and I wasn’t sure I was going to do it. I spent a lot of time looking at pictures of people I don’t know. None of them I found very interesting. In the end I chose a photo I had, and drew two people I didnt know who were in it.

Its a mixed bag, and overall not a brilliant likeness of either person. Some parts of it I am quite pleased with. I really like the hand on the shoulder, the man’s tie, and the woman’s hair. Parts of it are overworked including the background that, yet again, was too pale and was overpainted. The beard was also overworked. I have ended up with much more paint on the image than I both intended or started with. Once I had started tinkering I somehow couldn’t stop!

In spite of this I am pleased I actually got something done and posted. I have done well only missing one week and it is good to post what you have done, however good or not it is.
