Shells, New Project

Jun 12, 2025 | Drawing, Nature, Painting, Uncategorized | 0 comments

Been in the studio a bit more and started a little project. So far I am really enjoying it, so I hope its going to lead to me getting back more often and doing some of the things I have been thinking about but not doing!

I am not long back from a holiday and picked some shells up on the beach. I love the markings on the shells and they have been sitting on my chest of drawers, waiting for me to be inspired.

The idea is to do a series of studies in a grid and have started by going back to an old favourite and using my Derwent watercolour pencils. They really are very nice indeed.

Below the start..
