Today – Leaves

Have been working on some lino cuts after a really good course up in Todmorden. Used some of the photos and sketches I have from Tegg’s nose to inspire the work.  Shelley, who we were working with suggested starting out with some loose work with washes and line making. Tried this with the leaves and I like the results:

This was inspired from some photos I took of willow herb in the autumn and which I had put into a photo montage

I have started working on a lino cut image as seen in the featured image and then have looked at making patterns and layers:
