Drawing Out at Danes Moss

Mar 4, 2021 | Drawing, Nature, Trees | 0 comments

At last a day when the weather was nice enough to sit and do some drawing – again! Took my trusty little book, that is now nearly full, and a small pencil case for a walk to Danes Moss Nature Reserve on Monday. It was a beautiful, still, warm day with all the promise of spring. Lots of birds and some early flowers.

I am not sure if I like that the tree is almost lost in the background paint splodeges, but I think I do. Its tempting to fiddle with it but I quite like the idea that this book is mostly drawings that were done on site and not reworked. Often I get so bogged down that all the spontaneity of the original is lost if I carry on at home.
