Embroidered Elephant

Aug 25, 2020 | craft, Inspiration, Sewing | 0 comments

I can’t believe its a year since I put something on my blog. This year has been particulalrly difficult and as a result I have picked up a few half started, waiting to be started and half finished projects.

This little embroidered elephant is a Stef Francis kit that I bought years ago. I started it but then left it half done in a bag by the sofa. Recently I revisited it; it was something fun and that I could personalise but that did not require me having “an idea”.

The kit is really lovely. There is a template and advice about how to do stitches and secure mirrors. However the advice is not rigid and encourages you to add to and adapt the design. The materials are very nice, lovely threads fabric and beads. I really enjoyed finishing it and making it a personal image for my new neice.

This is a great kit to help give you ideas about how you may develop your own projects. I learnt a lot.
