52Frames Street Photography Week 45

The 52Frames challenge this week is Street Photography. I think its a great challenge, although I expect it was much easier at the time I took this, than it is now. I wasn’t sure I would have time to do this justice, as it feels like setting up the exhibition has taken over my life! In my mind’s eye I thought that I wanted to do something from one of my photos that I took in Nepal. At the end of the 1980’s I travelled round Asia with a friend for some months. It was a fantastic experience. We started off in Nepal, which I am sure is very different now from then. The photo this is taken from feels very typical of our experience, the men playing chess on the street. The time we spent there has very happy and positive memories for me. I hope I have managed to pportray this in this picture.

I am really happy with the image, and  think some of the watercolour has worked really well. Glad I got something done.
