52Frames Shoot Through Something Week 41

52Frames has asked photographers to Shoot Through Something this week. I think this would be quite interesting, but harder to think of something as an artist. I setlled on a picture I had taken at the Lost Gardens of Heligan in September this year. It is shot through the door of the Melon House, and there are more doors going back.

It was a lovely half day and I thought the melons hanging up in their rope bags brilliant. I am not sure I have ever seen it before.

I think it would have worked really well as an image, if only I had given it more time. I have a couple of exhibitions coming up and some other commitments which has meant I am a bit short of time, but I am not sure it’s much of an excuse.

I like the choice of media, but managed to make the ink run, when I did not really intend it to. I think the soil bed is a bit prominent and the perspective is not quite right, but it’s not awful.

Bits of it are really quite successful but overall not my best!
