52Frames Minimalist Week 4

This week 52Frames is Minimalist, with nude as an extra challenge (https://52frames.com/).

This gave me an opportunity to look through my life drawing and see if I could rework something. I had several goes at this and this is the final image. The drawing is with India Ink on calligraphy rice paper. I then coloured it by wetting parts of the paper and adding Dr Martin’s water colour, slate blue. It was very difficult to control the colour as the water spread quite widely. However I really like the way the colour moved and split. It is not as minimal as I had planned but I like the final image.
