Papier-mâché modelling

Jan 17, 2017 | Inspiration, Modelling, Papier-mâché | 0 comments

Did a short course of papier-mâché modelling with Patty Callaghan. It was very good, making a figure with a basic wire frame for the limbs, but just paper for the body and head. I worked from some of my life drawings and am quite pleased with the result – she even stands up! She is covered with tissue paper and pare from a dress pattern. It is quite a challenge to get the proportions right, but the great thing is you can cut bits out, and disassemble it and put back together again. I have made a small video so she can be seen from every angle .
