I have included a selection of 3D work. I find that working in 3D has the potential to add real interest to a project. The carousel book of spiders is a good example where the differing layers and shadows create instant depth to the image. I also enjoy cutting paper and love the way you can plan the overlapping layers such as those in the tunnel books.
The invisible cities map and final 3D work above was made in repsonse to a project to choose a city to reimagine from Italo Calvino’s book Invisible Cities.
The Rock Pool was created to represent a habitat. I decided to make something suitable for a child to explore a rock pool on land. Each creature can be removed and there is a key to identify what you might find.
